Sport als Weg

Erasmus+ Projekt zur Förderung von Chancengleichheit und sozialer Inklusion!

Die REWI-Fakultät der Uni Graz berichtet über das neue Projekt mit dem Titel "Sports organizations matching social inclusion issues" (SmatchS). Die Idee dabei ist, vulnerablen Gruppen mit Migrations- bzw. Fluchthintergrund den Einstieg in die neue Gesellschaft über lokale Sportvereine zu erleichtern und damit die soziale Inklusion und Chancengleichheit zu fördern. 

Im Projekt arbeiten sechs Institutionen aus den Bereichen Sport, Soziales und Wissenschaft aus sechs verschiedenen europäischen Ländern zusammen. An der Uni Graz wird das Team bestehend aus dem Uni-ETC und dem Institut für Bewegungswissenschaften, Sport und Gesundheit für eine effiziente Überprüfung, Validierung und Evaluierung des Projektablaufs und der Projektergebnisse sorgen. „Diese Zusammenarbeit verschiedener Fakultäten im Menschenrechtsbereich freut mich besonders, ist dies doch ein wichtiges Ziel unseres Zentrums“, so Gerd Oberleitner.

SmatchS wird aus Mitteln des Erasmus+ Programms der Europäischen Union gefördert, welches zum grenzüberschreitenden Dialog und Austausch zu bildungsrelevanten Themen und innovativen Bildungsansätzen beiträgt. Dieses Jahr wurden 12 Erasmus+ Projekte der Universität Graz erfolgreich genehmigt.
