On 5 June, participants of the Interdisciplinary Doctoral Programme Human Rights, Democracy, Diversity, and Gender met with colleagues from the Human Rights Center Antonio Papisca of University of Padua at the premises of the Global Campus of Human Rights in the Monastery of San Nicolò in Venice, Lido. The PhD students presented their research and were engaged in fruitful discussions on a great variety of research topics, including security policies in Rio de Janeiro, transitional justice and the Kosovo Specialist Chambers, or healthcare access and structural inequality of autistic adults. After an intensive day, participants had the opportunity to exchange their experiences and ideas in more informal settings, during joint dinner and on the beaches of the Lido.
The Doctoral Programme is open to doctoral students from various disciplines who are conducting research on human rights and related topics as part of their PhD studies. If you are interested in participating in future activities, please contact elias.faller(at)uni-graz.at to get in touch with us.
