Human Rights Moot Court Competition

EGMR

© Fischer-Lessiak

The Helga Pedersen Moot Court Competition (formerly European Human Rights Moot Court Competition) simulates a procedure before the European Court of Human Rights. The competition offers students from all over Europe a unique opportunity to study the principles and implementation of the European Convention on Human Rights and apply them in practice.

The Moot Court comprises the preparation of written submissions (September to December 2023), preparation for oral proceedings and participation in a regional moot court round in a European university (January-February 2024) and (upon successful participation) the final round at the European Court of Human Rights in Strasbourg (May 2024).

We are looking for a maximum of four motivated law students for the team representing the University of Graz. Apply for the moot court and preparatory courses 229.220, 229.221 and 229.222 in 2023/24 (18 ECTS) at gerd.oberleitner(at)uni-graz.at.
