On 7 May 2026, the guest lecture “The Impact of War on Youth Leadership Growth: Ukrainian Case” took place within the Erasmus+ project “Promoting Academic Freedom in Ukraine” (FreeAc, ID KA220-HED-AB735F9) as part of the lecture series “Ukrainian Voices: Academic Freedom in a Changing World.” The event was organised in a hybrid format at the University of Graz and online.

The lecture was delivered by Professor Andrii Andreichenko, Doctor of Economics and Head of the Department of Economic, Law and Business Management at Odessa National Economic University. During the lecture, he discussed how the war in Ukraine has affected young people and contributed to the development of youth leadership, resilience, and civic engagement. Particular attention was paid to the role of volunteer initiatives, community support, and the development of leadership skills under crisis conditions.

A video recording of the lecture will be available on the project’s official website:
https://www.freeac.eu/ukrainian-voices-guest-lecture-series/

The lecture series is co-organised by the University of Graz (Austria) and Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań (Poland). It aims to promote Ukrainian academic voices in Europe, strengthen international academic cooperation, and support academic freedom during wartime.
