The 2024 edition of the Yearbook, jointly edited by Philip Czech (University of Salzburg), Karin Lukas (Central European University), Manfred Nowak (Global Campus of Human Rights) and Lisa Heschl and Gerd Oberleitner (University of Graz) highlights recent development and trends in human rights in Europe.
In the launch event, two contributors to the Yearbook, Paulina Rundel from University of Vienna and Elisabeth Lambert from University of Nantes, discussed environmental litigation today and tomorrow with Karin Lukas and Marie-Pierre Granger from the CEU. Paulina Rundel presented an overview of climate litigation cases in Europe and discussed whether the European human rights system should be complemented with a human rights to a clean environment. Elisabeth Lambert discussed her contribution to the yearbook on the role of third party interventions in climate litigation cases. The Yearbook, published for the first time with Brill, can be bought here.
