Doctoral Program

Human rights affect all disciplines. In order to meet this interdisciplinary challenge, faculty from four faculties at the University of Graz provide a comprehensive overview of the content, theories, and methods of human rights research, exploring them from the perspective of differing academic fields, including law, social sciences, the humanities, theology, and the natural sciences, in this Doctoral Programme. The Doctoral Programme serves as a platform for the exchange of scientific knowledge and offers an introduction into the world of science. It is addressed to doctoral students of all fields of study at the University of Graz, who explore questions of human rights in their dissertation project.A part of the blocked Doctoral Programme takes place as a PhD-workshop in Venice. Participants will be given the opportunity to exchange their views with colleagues from other universities and to present their dissertation projects to a broad international audience. The Doctoral Programme will be held in English.
