Uni-ETC wird zur Kinderuni

Das Uni-ETC beteiligte sich heuer zum ersten Mal an der alljährlich stattfindenden Kinderuni. Der dreistündige Workshop zielte darauf ab, den 10 Kindern im Alter zwischen 8 und 13 Jahren die Kinderrechte näherzubringen und ihnen spielerisch ein Verständnis für verschiedene Kinderrechtsproblematiken weltweit zu vermitteln.

Kinderrechte sind auf internationaler Ebene in der Allgemeine Erklärung der Menschenrechte 1948 und vor allem der Kinderrechtskonvention von 1989 stark verankert. Für einen effektiven Schutz der Rechte von Kindern bedarf es jedoch eines entsprechenden Bewusstseins auch bei den RechtsträgerInnen, den Kindern selbst. Dieses Bewusstsein kann vor allem durch Menschenrechtsbildung, ein Schwerpunktbereich des UNI-ETC, erzeugt werden.  Menschenrechtsbildung bedeutet Lernen ÜBER, DURCH und FÜR Menschenrechte - und in diesem Sinne versuchte der Workshop den jungen TeilnehmerInnen die Kinderrechte näherzubringen.

Durch den Beitrag von Lisa Heschl und Pia Niederdorfer war die rechtswissenschaftliche Fakultät erstmals im Programm der Kinderuni vertreten.

FreeAc: Webinar "Academic Writing with Generative AI Systems"

On the 13th of November 2025, the University of Graz held an online webinar titled “Academic Writing with Generative AI” within the Erasmus+ project “Promoting Academic Freedom in Ukraine (FreeAc)”. The session was designed for students from Ukrainian partner universities to help them understand how generative AI tools influence academic writing and how to use them responsibly.
