Splendid Success for E.MA Guest Students / Erfolg für E.MA Gaststudenten

The European Master's Programme in Human Rights and Democratisation (E.MA) stands for academic excellence and students' mobility. The UNI-ETC welcomes E.MA students every year in Graz to write their Master theses during summer semester. This year’s guest students Karina Gomes da Silva (Brazil), Jan Lhotský (Czech Republic), and Isadora Martins de Freitas (Portugal) were particularly successful. Karina and Jan stood out performing amongst the top 15 students in the ranking of over 90 peers. Lhotský’s thesis “Human Rights Treaty Body Review 2020 - Towards an Integrated Treaty Body System”, supervised by Lisa Heschl and Gerd Oberleitner, was selected as one of five theses for publication. Isadora was awarded the E.MActivism prize. The UNI-ETC team cordially congratulates to this academic success!

The graduation ceremony and inauguration of the Academic Year 2017/2018 in the magnificent Scuola Grande di San Rocco in Venice also marked the 20th anniversary of the E.MA programme.
