Following an evaluation of the first four years of the UNESCO Chair in Human Rights and Human Security at the University of Graz, established in 2016, we are happy to announce that UNESCO has agreed in March 2020 to renew the Chair for the period 2020 to 2024 upon the application of the Rector of the University of Graz. The Chair will continue its activities in teaching, research, outreach and international academic cooperation with its global partners. In particular, the Chair will cooperate closely with the newly established UNESCO Category 2 Centre for the Promotion of Human Rights at the Local and Regional Levels in Graz.
