This anniversary edition gives a comprehensive overview of our organisations’ accomplishments in 2024 and over the past 25 years. A digital version is available on our website at https://www.humanrightsgolocal.org/about-us/annual-reports.
Our joint work programme has remained committed to promoting the protection of human rights and upholding the UN’s principle of “leaving no one behind.” The collaborative work of our competency centres emphasises the importance of human rights education and research, as well as the role of cities and local governments in human rights realisation.
In 2024, our 21 staff members accomplished four international cooperation projects, advised 19 cities, produced 22 learning videos for local authorities, published three Toolkits for Equality and 19 additional publications, and supported three action plan adoptions. In total, we organised or attended 124 events and reached more than 400 people through the Winter Academy.
We continue to embark on an exciting journey towards achieving rights-based and people-centred governance.
