Presentation of the FreeAc Project at the University of Hull’s Research Culture Week

On 3 June 2025, Dr Svitlana Andreichenko took part in the session "Research Cultures in Crisis: Universities and the War in Ukraine" during the Research Culture Week held at the University of Hull, England, from 2 to 5 June 2025.

In her presentation,  Svitlana Andreichenko introduced the Erasmus+ KA2 project “Promoting Academic Freedom in Ukraine (FreeAc)” (ID KA220-HED-AB735F9), which aims to support Ukrainian academics during times of war by fostering academic freedom, strengthening resilience, and building new international collaborations.

She invited members of the University of Hull and all participants of the meeting to join the FreeAc Project Network to support Ukrainian scholars and promote cooperation between Ukrainian and European universities.

The session concluded with a lively Q&A and an open discussion on how civic universities such as Hull can contribute to strengthening research cultures in conflict zones. This important exchange marked a step forward in building academic solidarity and fostering international cooperation in times of war.
