Menschenrechtlicher Debate Club

Auch im Sommersemester 2015 darf wieder ausgiebig diskutiert werden!

Welche Auswirkungen haben die tragischen Anschläge auf Charlie Hebdo auf die Meinungsäußerungsfreiheit? Gibt es ein Menschenrecht auf saubere Umwelt? Dürfen Staaten foltern? Welche Verantwortung kommt Unternehmen beim Schutz von Menschenrechten zu? Müssen Religionen vor Kritik geschützt werden? Und dürfen Kinder im Namen der Religion beschnitten werden? Welche Rechte haben AsylwerberInnen?

Menschenrechte und ihre Verletzungen sind in aller Munde. Doch in den Medien bleibt oft keine Zeit für tiefer gehende Analysen. Viele Probleme bleiben unangesprochen, Behauptungen unwidersprochen, Fragen ungeklärt. Der Menschenrechtliche Debate Club, der an 13 Abenden im SS 2015 stattfindet, soll diese Lücke füllen: Er ist als offene Diskussionsrunde konzipiert, in der in gemeinsamen, in kollegialer Atmosphäre gehaltenen Debatten menschenrechtliche Themenfelder abgesteckt und beschritten werden.´

FreeAc: Webinar "Academic Writing with Generative AI Systems"

On the 13th of November 2025, the University of Graz held an online webinar titled “Academic Writing with Generative AI” within the Erasmus+ project “Promoting Academic Freedom in Ukraine (FreeAc)”. The session was designed for students from Ukrainian partner universities to help them understand how generative AI tools influence academic writing and how to use them responsibly.
