Journalism in Armed Conflict - Spotlight Ukraine

Journalismus im bewaffneten Konflikt – Spotlight Ukraine (deutsche Version siehe unten)

On 23 November 2023, Olha Bozhko, journalist and human rights activist from Ukraine, presented the work of the Ukrainian human rights group "SICH" at the evening event Spotlight Ukraine: The Role of Journalists in Exposing Human Rights Violations. Based on the short films presented, Olha Bozhko impressively explained how important the use of audiovisual media is for raising awareness of human rights violations and how new media can be used to counteract misinformation, to publicly address human rights violations and to give victims of the same a voice. The Uni-ETC would like to thank Olha Bozhko for her fascinating insights into human rights practice!
