Interdisciplinary Doctoral Programme

Human Rights, Democracy, Diversity and Gender - apply now with your CV and the ountline of your dissertation project!

The Doctoral Programme:

Human rights affect all disciplines. In order to meet this interdisciplinary challenge, professors from all six faculties at the University of Graz provide a comprehensive overview of the content, theories, and methods of human rights research, exploring them from the perspective of differing academic fields, including law, social sciences, the humanities, theology, the natural and the educational sciences.

The Doctoral Programme serves as a platform for the exchange of scientific knowledge and offers an introduction into the world of science. It is addressed to doctoral students of all fields of study at the University of Graz, who explore questions of human rights, democracy, diversity or gender in their dissertation project.

A part of the blocked programme takes place as a PhD-workshop in Venice, if possible by the COVID situation at the time. Participants will be given the opportunity to exchange their views with colleagues from other universities and to present their dissertation projects. The Doctoral Programme will be held in English.
