Call for Applications: LAWCONRESC Summer School 2025

Are you passionate about international and EU law, conflict resolution and the various challenges of post-Soviet transition? Join us in Yerevan, Armenia (7-11 July 2025) for an intensive and engaging summer school on Law and Conflict Resolution in the South Caucasus (see flyer attached)! This summer school will take place in cooperation with the Yerevan State University (YSU) and is jointly organized by the Center of East European Law and Eurasian Studies and the Global Governance Department at the Institute of Foundations of the Law at the Graz Law School.

The summer school offers a unique opportunity to deepen your understanding of the various legal and political developments that shape the South Caucasus. Participants will engage in lectures and discussions led by leading scholars and practitioners, covering key legal and governance issues that emerge in the region. The program also features exclusive field trips, including a visit to the EU Monitoring Mission, the office of the Council of Europe and the Constitutional Court of Armenia, providing firsthand insights into the work of these institutions. Building upon the success of last year’s EULPISC Summer School, this annual event continues to bring together outstanding students and professionals to explore pressing legal and political issues.

Applications are now open! To apply, submit your CV and a brief motivation letter by 25 May 2025 to law.summer(at)uni-graz.at . A limited number of scholarships is available, so apply quickly!

Upon successful completion, participants will be awarded certificates issued by YSU and the University of Graz. The summer school is credited for students of the University of Graz with 5 ECTS. Please note that attendance of the Seminar Law and Conflict Resolution in the South Caucasus is mandatory for chosen participants.
